I have asked about and getting conflicting info...650/1000 watt

Building a new machine and would like to know what is the safest PSU for a i7 920 running off an Asus P6X58D M/B.

Hi, Do you intend installing a separate and more powerful graphics card?

If so we would need to know that and type you intend fitting, otherwise I doubt you would need even 600watts, though if it can be afforded, what can supply a lot will cope quite happily with a little, and gives you scope for expansion later.

Undecided yet on which graphics card whether to use my GeForce 9600GT from my existing box or splash out...Some frightening prices out there lol.
