Charging Laptop in Goa/India?

Hi Everyone

 

I'm hoping someone can give me a simple answer about being able to charge my netbook whilst on holiday next month in Goa.

 

I have an Advent Netbook but I'm always confused about the voltage conversions etc. I'm from the UK with a standard uk charger.

 

Any ideas please?

The mains voltage is 230 volts at 50HZ, more or less the same as here, you will need a two pin type adapter to use our standard 13 amp plug to their wall sockets.

Am I wright in thinking that the mains adaptor for Goa is the same as the one I would use in any european country (the 2 pin one)?

Looking at the list in the link I gave, there are two types in use, one is the two pin similar to Europe, which is type C, or there is also a three pin type D. That one is similar to the old round pin three pin plugs we used to use in the UK till the now well known flat pin thirteen amp plug became the norm.

I would be obtaining an adapter set which will have most of the plugs in use. Not too expensive.
