Win 7 32/64

Attending a part-time evening college class for computer CompTIA last year I was giving the means to get Win 7 Pro 32bit through a student purchase, however the computer I am going to build and in the process of gathering componants would be better suited to the 64 bit. Anyway around swapping the fells??

I am using XP at the mo and yet to use the original copy of 7 received from MS distributers in Republic of Ireland

Maybe the best is to enquire at Microsoft themselves. Considering you haven't yet used or installed the 32 bit version, a swap may be possible, and at least that way would be fully legal and within the Microsoft licence terms. Going through any third party could be risky unless dealing with a reputable dealer perhaps.

Is it OEM or Retail? Retail has both 32 and 64 bit versions on the same disk, its only the serial number that dictates which version actually installs

It says 32 bit on the disc, However I have since learned that if you d/l the 64 bit version from "mydigitallife" as long as you haven't used the key and it's genuine you can use it on install of the 64 instead:)
