Guest JM_Metal Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 I have a Windows 2003 server w/Exchange 2003 running (or was) on a Dell 2650 RAID 5 environment. Upon a re-boot I got the error "Windows could not start ....file missing or corrupt \system32\drivers\ntfs.sys. I renamed ntfs.sys to ntfs.old and cpoied the file from the installation disk vis recovery console, yet upon re-boot I get the same error. Is the only option an in-place repair?
Guest Meinolf Weber Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Re: Help! 2003 server NTFS.SYS Corrupt or Missing Hello JM_Metal, Before playing around you should create an image from the server, to have always a point to go back if something goes wrong during your search. Check out this one, should help you, even if 2003 is not mentioned: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306038 Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > I have a Windows 2003 server w/Exchange 2003 running (or was) on a > Dell 2650 RAID 5 environment.
