Wierd glitching

Where to start... Right

Basically, My PC is the Acer Aspire AX3400. It was working perfectly fine up until 2 weeks ago, it started to glitch during gaming, then i noticed it during internet browsing, now its a system wide issue, movies, windows, Crome, everything glitches, and for the love of me can work out why.

I'm not PC illiterate, but neither am I an expert. So I did what I usually do when I hit an issue, update drivers, windows, DirectX, AVG, downloaded Spybot, done full system scans of both AVG and Spybot, disk clean up and full system defrag, made sure there was no issues in the device manager and looked at what starts up on start up and what processes are running (nothing out of the ordinary by the way).

I do have the option of taking it back to Brighthouse to sort out, BUT, it'll take them 6 weeks to do it.

 

Can anyone lend any insight into what the flip is going on, or anything I can try to solve it, with out having to be a format/reinstall, because I haven't got the money to buy Windows 7.

 

Remember I'm not a Pro, so please don't use to many acronyms or technical words, i may get a tad lost

Hi, without a bit more information about what exactly is happening, for example are you getting a blue screen shut down and restart, a freeze up where even the mouse pointer won't move, or some other unwanted event?

Without that, I am going to guess that it may be a heat issue, and probably due to fans and cooling fins clogged with dust and perhaps carpet fluff.

I assume this is a desktop from the number, have you had the cover off and checked inside? While there, make sure you have turned off the power and to minimise static, touch the case, then check as above for dust and fluff, also check there are no loose plugs or connections.
