twedspeed Posted March 28, 2011 Posted March 28, 2011 Hi I want to put facebook on my desktop - but when I save it to desktop then try to open it from there it just "BOINK" & computer sez NO!!! I run windows vista home basic. Does it wiv hotmail as well - but I can do it if I oopen GOOGLE then write FACEBOOK in the search box.....then click ,...then click on the drop down linK.. yadah yadah ........... gota be a quicker way ? Try going to Default Programs in Control Panel and associate your web browser to open the file type. eventually found a page with "set associations for a programme" written at the top - was that wot your on about ....if it was the box for internet shortcut was already ticked !!!!! thanx anyway but I,ll just have to type facebook into the google page every time - its easyer than all this fannying about- cheers.
