Empty Roaming Profiles

Windows 2008. When users logon with RDP they always get the message that

their profile did not load and that no changes they make will be saved. If

I delete the profile and login to create it, I get the users profile folder

created, but it's empty. I checked the security on the folder. Just the

System, Administrator and the user have full control.

Anyone have any idea why it's coming up empty? Is there some

security/permission that I'm missing???

Hello John,

Check that the user is owner of the folder.

Yes, the user is the owner.

Everyone, Full Control.

Have even tried seting up a new share. Does the same thing. Creates the

usersname.V2 folder and nothing else.

Re: Empty Roaming Profiles

Bingoooooo. :)

In case anyone else has this issue I found the answer here.

http://forums.technet.microsoft.com/en-US/winserverTS/thread/33243c2c-b328-4d46-8917-6aab1b9a88d0

Thanks much Meinolf for all your ideas and taking the time to help. Now if

I could just get that darn

%logonserver% to work the way it did in w2k3, I'd be all set. :)
