Try to help a friend whose laptop w/XP will not boot. I have no idea what

was installed prior to getting the error message.

stop: c0000135 {unable to locate component}

This application has failed because BASEGHJEB32 was not found. Reinstalling

the application may fix this problem. How do I resolve this issue? I

cannot boot in normal mode or safemode. Nor can I boot from the CD. Thanks

- How did you set the machine to boot from a CD?

- What CD are you trying to boot off?

- What happens when you try?

Trying to start using the XP CD. I get the press anykey to start from CD

option, but every key beeps when pressed.

Re: No Boot

You may have a hardware problem. Try a different keyboard and/or

a different boot CD.

Re: No Boot

Even though it's a laptop, you still need to try a

different (=external) keyboard. Your friendly

PC dealer should be able to help you.
