I have installed terminal server 2003 64-bits. I have to make printers HP

LaserJet 1010 connected to RDC clients XP computers able to print reports. It

is supported by 32-bit version MS 2003 but not for the servers of 64-bits.

That is where my problems starts.

I am having a problem how to make a great number of printers HP 1010

printing.

I have installed driver then I followed KB239088 and created file to

include the user -defined mappings from the client-side to server-side

drivers. I have checked via the "Printers and Faxes" applet. That was OK.

However when I try to make it print reports it generates Event 1111: Error

processing ntprint.inf.

Someone told me that this procedure is for the printers that are configured

to use local ports such LPT but not for locally USB connected.

Re: HP 1010

I'm afraid that this is going to be bad news:

The HP LJ1010 is not supported on 2003 x64 TS, as documented by

HP:

HP Printers Supported in Citrix MetaFrame Presentation and Terminal

Server Environments

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?

objectID=c00213455

I'm not sure what driver you installed and which mapping you have

tried to make in ntprintsub.inf, but Event 1110: "Error processing

ntprint.inf. (I assume you meant Event 1110, not 1111) means that

you have made some sort of syntax error in your substitute

ntprintsub.inf file, as explained in KB 239088, or maybe in the

registry entry for PrinterMappingINFName.

Re: HP 1010

How about on Vista 64, is there any way I can make this printer work under

Vista 64?

Thanks

Re: HP 1010

It doesn't matter if the client runs XP or Vista, the driver for

this printer is not compatible with TS.
