Just like the title says.

Are there best security options out in the "world", besides not connecting to Internet?

I know not connecting to Internet should be best option.

But, the thing is me or other people got to use Internet for sometime, right?

We can't just not connect to Internet, just because it is best security options, right?

Not an easy sort of question to answer quickly.

Most of it is down to common sense and understanding the dangers.

To understand the dangers a bit better, you'll find this a good read:

Also understanding that too much security is just as bad as not enough.

With too many security programs running there is always a chance of conflicts and programs fighting one another .... ending up in false reports and possibly programs being prevented from actually running.

 

A simple rule i find is:

One Anti Virus program.

One 3rd party Firewall.

One resident Anti Malware program.

An extra 'On demand' Anti Malware program.

 

and some kind of filtering program like NoScript extension
