I have installed 5 per user CALs on a activated 2003 TS License server, The

TS is on the same box. The windows server is in per user mode. The TS is

configuration is configured as domain/workgroup and per user mode.

When I try to connect more than two users it will not allow a new connection.

What exactly is the error message that you get?

Per User licenses are not enforced on W2003, so I don't believe

that this is a problem with TS Licensing.

I can think of 2 other reasons for this behaviour:

1. the maximum number of allowed connections is hardcoded to 2.

Check this in Terminal Services Configuration - rdp-tcp connection

- properties - network. If the value you see there is greyed out,

it means that there is a GPO somewhere in your domain which

enforces this limit.

2. You could be running out of normal server CALs, not TS CALs. If

that's the case, you should be able to verify it by looking at the

EventLog on the server.

Hi,

Do you've added the terminal server role to this server?

If No, then add it with "Configure my server" in Administrative Tools

Also check in Terminal Services Configuration in Administrative Tools if the

licensing mode is set to per user.
