adding new users

Good Day,

 

We're running terminal server with 1o users. Currently we have 10 user CALS.

We purchased more licenses but they're not in yet. can I add 10 more users

temporarily until the CALS come in? Can all 20 users be connected at the same

time?

Yes. They will get a 90 day temp license.

 

If this is 2003 or less then you will be OK because User licenses are

not tracked, but you should still have the appropriate amount of

licenses to stay legal.

Assuming that the TS is running Windows 2003 and is configured in

the Per User licensing mode, the users will not even get (nor need)

a temporary license.

Temporary Per User licenses don't exist, only temporary Per Device

licenses.
