tonyja Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 .... I have recently been getting a msg : "An exception occurred while trying to run "newdev.dll,ClientSideInstall \\.\pipe\PNP_device_install_Pipe_0" ..this is followed by 32hexadicimal nos. ( an address ?? ) I understand that this may be a Registry error of sorts.. I am not TOTALLY sure of what steps to take ...How do I remedy this? Quote
RandyL Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I can't find much on this so I'll try the usuall fixes. dll usually refers to dynamic link library files by the way. Disconnect any new devices. Uninstall any recent programs. Uninstall all file sharing programs. Run multiple malware scans Do a system restore. Hopefully this will solve it. Quote We are all members helping other members. RandyL Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 What a mess and yes you may have deleted the drivers. If I were you I would roll back the computer using System Restore since we have no idea what you have been deleting or why. Quote We are all members helping other members.
