Guest boe Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Hello, I'm new to 2008 server. I'm searching through my registry using regedit but when it goes into registry folder e.g. hklm\software\microsoft - it doesn't highlight microsoft in the left pane of regedit so it can be hard to track down what fold you are in if you are many layers deep other than looking at the bottom and then tracking down where that folder is. Is there a new registry editor I need to use that includes the highlight function for the open folder? Thanks

Hello boe, If you look at the bottom of the regedit window, you can read the full path where you are. But i agree that the color underlined folder was a good option. Guest boe Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 Re: Windows 2008 - regedit - highligh open folder? Thanks - that is what I'm talking about - I have to look at the bottom and then search for it in the left hand pain in the a. It used to highlight the folder that you were in on the left hand side while you worked in the right hand pane. Anyone know of a new command that replaces regedit that keeps the better functionality of the old regedit?
