Guest Jaycee2010 Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 When I try to uninstall, repair or reinstall this software I get the following error message. Could not open key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run Does anyone know a fix for this problem? It is driving me crazy, thanks, JC.
Guest Rey Santos Posted June 13, 2008 Posted June 13, 2008 RE: Can not uninstall or reinstall Error Smart Try this: Start > Run, Type regedit > OK Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\sharedDLLs. Right click on the key and chose permissions... On the Group or User Names section, hit the Add button and type EVERYONE, check the Full_Control and Read boxes and OK. You now have permission. -- Rey "Jaycee2010" wrote: > When I try to uninstall, repair or reinstall this software I get the > following error message. > > Could not open key: > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run > > Does anyone know a fix for this problem?
