Wowexec prevents installation of 16 bit game

Trying to install 3 nascar type games on XP SP3.

 

Press install, nothing happens,......anyone seen this?

 

Task manager shows install initiates wowexec and freezes.

Contact the game maker(s) and see if there are any known issues between the

games and SP3.

 

Locate wowexec.exe in the I386 folder and double click it. Bring up task

manager and see if wowexec is listed as a running application. If it is,

then I don't know what the problem could be other than maybe a conflict with

something running in the background (see article below). If it is not

listed, then I would try replacing the file with a fresh copy from the CD.
