*** Label too short for Chinese XP platform ***

I worte a program on an English XP platform with Visual Studio C++ and MFC.

And the program runs perfectly fine in the English XP platform. But when I

run the program on a Chinese platform, some of the texts become too long or

too high for some labels and some other controls.

 

Why does this happen? How can I sort out this problem?

By the way, someone mentions that the displayed font of the labels is

different in English and Chinese. In Chinese XP it reverts to Times Roman or

Courier - not sure which it is - and the font size seems larger.

 

And someone also suggest that this is related to some MFC libraries.

 

For me I don't know what is true. Could some wisemen tell me the true?
