Guest dba Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 1. I have attempted several times to change the filters on Event Viewer permanently. I change the filter and then use the apply button but the change does not take. 2. Also, over time, my Event Viewer has picked up some unwanted (categories?) like ACEEventLog, Microsoft Office Diagnostics, Microsoft Office Sessions and Internet Explorer. Can someone tell me how to delete these from "MY" event viewer. Any help will be appreciated.
Guest R. McCarty Posted June 14, 2008 Posted June 14, 2008 Re: Event viewer problem.... Create your own Console view. Click Start, Run ( Type ) mmc.exe [Enter] Add the Snap-ins you want to use and modify the filtering. Save the Console and then create a shortcut to it. The Snap-ins you list are normal.
