Guest Zsuzsa Posted June 15, 2008 Posted June 15, 2008 My sons HP Laptop's Window XP Home editions last update was in 2007 December. I tried to update but every time I click on the windows update the default msn.com window will come up. If I put the address for the update site in the address bar it says error 404 site not found. I have IE 7 It used to update automatically but not since Dec 2007. Also I can not check online if it need to update. What can be the problem? I scanned, no virus. Internet is slow.

The links in my start up folder still didn't worked but the links in the Help folder did. It seems that I didn't need any uder update except the SP3 which I dodn't want anyway.
