Can anyone help me with my laptop problem?

It is a Sony Vaio, Windows ME. I bought it of a family member who doesn't exactly look after cd's and so just got the laptop.

I was uninstalling a bt broadband program and having restarted the computer, got a ' Invalid System Disk ' message. The laptop does nothing.

I don't know much about computers, any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the first boot option is set to the hard drive in the bios.

I'm not sure of the key to press to enter the bios on Vaio machines but you should see "Press F2 (example) to enter Setup" when it boots, ie, POST screen.
