dee anderton Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Hi I recently bought a netbook computer that has windows xp. I can't see to get it to connect to the internet. I have a laptop that works fine with my wireless internet but this one wont. when i go in to connect to my wireless network it shows none. I have checked to see if my wireless switch is on and I have even tried to uninstall the network adapter and reinstall it to see if that would help but it didn't. Please help it is driving me crazy!!!! Quote

dee anderton Posted May 3, 2011 Author Posted May 3, 2011 Hi there are no exclamation or red xs but this is what is listed under the network adapter + 802.11n wireless LAN card and Realtek PCIe FE family Controller hope this helps. Quote
KenB Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 802.11n wireless LAN card Is this all? Not something like Ralink 802.11n wireless LAN card to identify the card? Have you tried an ethernet cable direct to the router just to see if the laptop can connect this way ? Download Belarc from here: http://www.belarc.com/Programs/advisor.exe Run it and it will diagnose the hardware etc on your system. What does it say regarding Network Adapters ?
