Terminal Services Server - send/receive Msgs...

Hi everyone,

I'm running Terminal Services on a Win Server 2003 box. I know as the

Admin that I can use the "Terminal Services Manager" console to send messages

to any active User who is logged on. I had thought, when I initially tested

this functionality, that the User(s) would be able to respond to the messages

I sent them. However, they can not.

I did check in the "Help Topics/Index" in Terminal Services and it does

say that Users, not to be confused with Admins, can in fact send/receive

messages to/from other Users. But it does NOT say HOW.

Does anyone know how my TS Users can do messaging??

Thanks,

Cal

By default, Remotedesktop users can receive messages only.

If you want to give permission to remotedesktop users to also send message

to anyone, you can do that with the following:

tscc.msc->rdp-Tcp->Permissions tab->advanced

Thanks

Soo Kuan

Terminal Service Configuration Control (just guessed...)

It is a snap-in for the Microsoft Management Console, just click Start->Run and type in this filename [OK], the Management Console

will start with this snap-in.
