Guest Ron Badour Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Re: outlook express If it was a web mail account not dependent upon having an ISP (Yahoo, HotMail, etc.) then she can access it. If it was mail account associated with an ISP (nobody@charter.com), the email account was wiped when her contract with the ISP expired. -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2008 "gary hescott" <garhescott1@btinternet.com> wrote in message news:e0F2N6V0IHA.4424@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > my friend would like to access her outlook express account using my > computer. she no longer have a computer at home, but remembers her account > name and password. > is it possible for her to access her account, or was it ended when her > contract with her isp ended? >
Guest David B. Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Re: outlook express Not necessarily so, I cancelled my Comcast account during a divorce, 10 months later I was still able to use the email account, I have since reactivated it. It depends on how diligent the ISP is in purging old accounts, Comcast isn't diligent in anything. -- ---- Crosspost, do not multipost http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 "Tom [Pepper] Willett" <tom@youreadaisyifyoudo.com> wrote in message news:%23VzKj$V0IHA.5004@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > If her email account was issued by the ISP, when the contract expired, the > account no longer exists. > > "gary hescott" <garhescott1@btinternet.com> wrote in message > news:e0F2N6V0IHA.4424@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > : my friend would like to access her outlook express account using my > : computer. she no longer have a computer at home, but remembers her > account > : name and password. > : is it possible for her to access her account, or was it ended when her > : contract with her isp ended? > : > : > >
