Guest Fernand Thill Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Re: Automatic boot after shut down The BIOS doesn't have an awake setting. What is strange is that it happendend after a Windows update asking for SP3. There was a falut at the end (I translate from french: Bad connection of a device. But the decice manager didn't show any problem. On recommendation by MS I copied from there site the whole SP3, burnt and installed it. But the boot, 2-3 min after shutdown was still there. Guest Ron Badour Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Re: Automatic boot after shut down I can see no relationship between SP3 and the BIOS setting and that's why my earlier post was worded as it was. However, it was fairly clear to me that the BIOS setting was responsible for the machine being started. How the BIOS change occurred--not a clue other than "stuff" happens. :-) -- Regards Ron Badour MS MVP 1997 - 2008 "Fernand Thill" <Fern_lu@yahoo.com> wrote in message news:ODCNwOk0IHA.4364@TK2MSFTNGP02.phx.gbl... > Yes, it was set.
