Guest Stef Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 My workgroup consists of three computers, 2 Laptops connected to a router/modem wireless, and a Desktop connected to the router via cable. I created the workgroup by using the wizard. When I check "My network places" they are all in the Internet and not in a Local Network. Should they not all be in a local network? -- Stef

Guest Stef Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Re: Workgroups and LAN Yes. My router has 192.168.0.1 (LAN) and 90.229.220.53 (ADSL) -- Stef "Michael" wrote: > Stef wrote: > > My workgroup consists of three computers, 2 Laptops connected to a > > router/modem wireless, and a Desktop connected to the router via cable. Guest Stef Posted June 19, 2008 Posted June 19, 2008 Re: Workgroups and LAN I just looked into the router settings. It seems as if a firewall rule denies all inbound traffic and I'm not sure of how to change this rule. Couldthis be part of the problem? -- Stef "Stef" wrote: > Yes.
