Firefox Question ?

Recommended Posts

I use version 2.0.0.14 of Mozilla Firefox. I tried to post this in an

appropriate Mozilla group, but my server does not carry them. My OS is

Windows XP, Professional.

If I go to a website where the initial, downloaded page is a lengthy

multi-page article, Firefox freezes. It does fine day after day, as

long as I only click on text articles that are only 2 or 3 pages in length.

Anyone have any idea why I have this problem ?

Thanks for any advice on this.

Uh-oh. This isn't good. I've seen

good before, and this isn't it.

Use Opera. It is better than Firefox. The mystery is why

Firefox get false publicity.

I have seen advice that you should avoid Opera 9.5. Besides, FF has far

more extensions and themes than IE. I don't know what Opera has, but I

doubt it has that many.

Re: Firefox Question ?

I'm using Opera 9.5 and have had zero issues with it. Any new release

of anything will always have a few problems. I've not seen any information

that says Opera 9.5 should be avoided.

Hi James,

Does the same thing happen if you start FF in Safe Mode?

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

If so you may have an extension causing the issue.

Well, the obvious answer is because you're using Firefox. In addition to not

being a genuine Microsoft product (which may void your warranty), when I

last used it, my cat developed warts. Removing Firefox caused the cat warts

to fall off.

I haven't tried since. Maybe when the cat dies...
