Guest Wolverine in Michigan Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I have XP will all service packs. I am running on broadband but my old dialup modem box keeps popping up wanting me to dial in to my old service provider. When I cancel out of close the box and try to get on the network, I get a message saying I am offline. How do I disable the dial up without jeopardizing my broadband. Thanks

Control Panel>Internet Options>Connections tab. You will see your old dialup provider listed in the box. Highlight it and choose "Remove".
