Guest Laura2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I have a Windows XP Media Center computer manufactured by Dell, which I purchased 2 years ago. I recently had a extra memory installed, plus a new video upgrade to the GE-Force 7600GS. It would seem that I could get better video than ever, but not the case. I still get video viewing that is stalling or not running at all...what can be the reason? Please help...

Sorry to be such a "computer dummy" but this is all new to me...Thanks for the reply.
Guest Chuck Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Re: Video Stalling Usually, the drivers that are included with a video card (on CD) are obsolete, and newer ones should be downloaded. The source of choice is either the Video card Mfr, or the chipset mfr. Usually most video card drivers (other than for laptops) can be downloaded from Nvidia or ATI, depending on the video card chipset. Laptops frequently use an OEM unique version of the driver, and this version may be one or more revisions behind the video chipset generic drivers.
