Guest Daddy Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I've been reading about Windows CardSpace, which I discovered in the Control Panel of my Windows XP Home SP 3. It seems to me that there's nothing unique about CardSpace (aka InfoCard) that doesn't already exist. A 'managed' InfoCard issued by a third party identity provider seems quite similar to a digital certificate. A self-issued 'personal' InfoCard can be compared to software that fills in forms for you. I just don't 'get' the innovation behind CardSpace. Is there something unique about it, or is it just competition for digital certificates and RoboForms? Nothing wrong with competition, of course, I'm just wondering if there's a compelling reason for me to get my own InfoCard. Thanks for your help. Daddy
