RAID 0 Questions: 1. What reading do you recommend regarding RAID 0? I want to get fully locked in on the RAID world and to do this, I need some sources (Reading wise). 2A. This is a little difficult to explain, but here we go. My PC has RAID 0 & 1 ability. The software side "Intel Matrix Storage Console". XP Pro on Dual Xeon can not open many windows

I have a new Dell 690 PX with Dual Xeon processors running at 2GHz. I can only open maybe 18 windows and then every new window I try to open does not actually open. Clicking on the icon for Internet Explorer at this timedoes not open IE. However, if I close any open window, I can then open a new window. Any help would be very much appreciated as many people in my department have the same issue.

Hey Everyone, Need some Assistance! I have just purchased the HP m9250F, which comes pre-loaded with Vist HP 64-Bit. I have purchased the Vista Ultimate Upgrade Retail Version.. I have completed ALL updates available for Vista HP. When I tried to Upgrade HP to Ultimate, it would NOT allow me to Upgrade, only to Clean (Not sure if thats the name) install, Upgrade disabled. It suggested that I use a more up to date version and than retry the Upgrade. Not positive if those are the exact words, but 90% correct. What doesn't make sense is that ALL of the updates have been completed and none are pending. So, whats up and how do I fix it? Really d…

Hello, I was in the process of setting up my 64-Bit PC with RAID 0 when a very disconcerning advisory popped up. It said, "ALL DATA WILL BE LOST"! Now I have done the RAID 0 in the 32-Bit world and never saw that prompt before. Matter of fact, I was able to plug away on my PC while it is being created. I am having problems with microsoft remote assistance working between two Windows XP machines. I can respond to a remote assistance request just fine. BUT When I send a request to someone else, they receive it fine, but when they try and take control, they receive the error message "remote host name could not be resolved". I checked my Microsoft Windows Firewall Exceptions window and both Remote Assistance and the RA MEssenger are checked to be allowed. What causes this and how can I fix this in a SIMPLE manner? The solution on the Microsoft website is tedious and unacceptable.

This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. ..." The solutions I found in the MS KB were not effective for me. Thanks to "COLIN" I know now I had to order Upgraded Disks to get Ultimate SP1 in order to upgrade HP SP1.. So with that knowledge and the order placed, I have a question. Can you upgrade the OS (in this case Upgrading HP SP1 to Ultimate SP1) while running a RAID 0 PC? I definately need this one right, because I don;t want to get RAID 0 up and running only to find out next week that I can't loan the new OS due to the RAID 0... So, Guru's, whats the scoop???? Hi all, I know that the 32-bits or 64-bits OS version question was asked many times before. Anyway, I googled for the question but did not find any answer which matches my problem. At work, we have a huge problem: we compiled an application under a Windows XP SP2 32-bits OS (build 5.1.2600) and we tried to make it work on a Windows Server 2003 (build 5.2.3790) which runs over a 2x DualCore Intel Xeon 5150, 2000 MHz (6 x 333). Although this a server newsgroup, you all probably either use Windows XP or Vista as your administration workstation. Therefore I am posting this message here. Microsoft plans to end most sales of Windows XP on June 30, despite a deep reluctance by many business and individuals about moving to Vista. I personally believe Vista has too heavy of a memory and disk space footprint, less snappy performance, and it fails to allow one to go back to the classic look and feel of XP. For instance, what happened to the old fashioned vanilla folders in Explorer? And the lack of an "UP" button in Vista's Explorer as well. (Now why did the have to take that away?)…

Hey gang, Just curious, anyone here successfully run Turbo Tax in Vista 64 bit? I know my Quicken Deluxe 2008 runs ok, I had already installed and filed my taxes with Turbo Tax on my XP Install, just thinking about the future ( eventually I will probably wipe the XP install) - as of now I have pretty much got all my required programs running ok in Vista Ultimate 64 bit, just hope this next go around Turbo Tax will run in it as well. I did not see Vista 64 listed as supported in Turbo Tax, but don't think I saw it for Quicken Deluxe 2008 either and it runs just fine. -- Don
