-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= why the security services?. -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You may ask, why do. I think the "they" referred to are the security services? Is there any evidence that there. is a single source, as opposed to a loosely based. "whispering campaign" amongst many people? Even if there is a single. source, is there any evidence that "they" are professional "buggers" as opposed. to amateurs, or perhaps people working for a privately funded. organization? a) As to the question of a single source versus something more. fragmented; it is quite obvious that there is a single. source from the way the campaign has been carried out…

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= -= MI5: methods and tactics. -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= They deliberately set out to. harass in a way that would resemble the symptoms. of schizophrenia, so that any report of the harassment would be taken as indicating mental illness and "treated". accordingly. They never show their own faces;. they only work through proxies, in the media, among the public, and by manipulating. people in the workplace. Since they do not declare their identity there is no evidence to. initiate legal action against the security services or anyone else. The only. people you can prosecute are the. proxies and they will deny knowledge of any c…

Ignore the SPAM, please
by Guest Charlie Russel - MVP- 4 replies

The MS public newsgroups have been hit this morning by a bunch of SPAM. Please just ignore the messages, and don't reply to them. I've reported them, and they'll eventually get cleaned off the servers, but it always takes longer than I'd like and it is made harder if folks reply to the messages, since the replies hang around after the original is gone. Thanks for your understanding. And my apologies for the mess it made of our "home". -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel

Wow64 error on Server 2003 x64 when attempting to install Exchange
by Guest attosecond- 6 replies
Something's seriously fishy with the Wow64 emulation on my machine. It's a fresh install of Server 2003 Enterprise x64 with SP2 and all current Microsoft Update critical updates. I have no problems installing small utility programs (WinRAR, etc) that are native 32-bit apps. However, when I attempt to install Exchange Server 2007 or Office 2007 Enterprise, nothing happens. The event log shows event ID 1109 logged by the Wow64 emulation layer; the error text reads (for Office Ent 2K7, as the example): "The program or feature "D:\setup.exe" cannot start or run due to incompatibility with 64-bit versions of Windows. Please contact the software vendor to ask…

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -= my response to the. harassment -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- My first reaction in 1990/91 was to. assume that if I broke contact then they would not be able to follow and would lose interest. So I. did the things that have been. suggested by other people; I sold my television, stopped listening to the radio and tried. to withdraw away from the sources of abuse as much as possible. I reasoned that they. must have more important things to deal with and that. normal people would simply leave me alone if it were made difficult for them to. continue their harassment. Yet the. postings were within the normal boundaries of behaviour for uk.misc,. and other less partisan spectators did not see justice in the …

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -= who knows about. it? =- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Many people know, both in the establishment and media, and among. the general public. Despite an absence of its target. from the UK for more than two years, the echoes of paranoia can still be heard loud. and clear from across the water. When it started in 1990, the only people. who knew were those in BBC television who were spying on. my home, and a few radio broadcasters. There were a. few cases of public harassment, but very little compared to the situation that developed a couple of. years later. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-= -= the BBC, television and radio. -= -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-= The first incident in June 1990 was. when a BBC newsreader made what seemed to be a reaction to something which had happened in my home,. and out of context of what they were reading. Rotate the display, independant of the video card driver?
by Guest Homer J. Simpson- 2 replies
Hi all, I realize that display rotation is typically a function of the video card driver, but I'm wondering if there's any software solution that can do that independantly of the card... I understand that it would probably be *way* slower than a native driver, but I could live with that--the rotated monitor would typically only be needed to display the content of a couple of windows from Visual Studio (there's a couple of windows that could use all the vertical space they can get), so even something with a slow refresh would be perfectly acceptable.

cursor behaviour problem
by Guest threademporium- 4 replies

win xp / professional / dell latitude d610 I use a pen and tablet and set the touch pad and pointing stick are both to enabled. This set up has worked fine for about 2 years. Just a few days ago, i noticed the cursor oscillating up and down with a range of around 25mm. I then disconnected the pen and tablet , but the touch pad and stick control failed to work. I shut down and re-booted with pen and tablet disconnected, the cursor traveled under its own energy to the top of the screen and stayed there. The only method that works to move it is the pointer stick, enormous effort is required to move the cursor using the pointer stick. I have now disabled th…

MI5. Persecution Update: Friday 7 April, 2000 22,544 + 837 =. 23,381 Last weekend I delivered another. 837 faxes to politicians and the media on the subject of the security service. conspiracy which has destroyed my life. This brings the total in the last three years to. at least 23,381. These totals do. not include partially delivered faxes. Some of the recipients of these faxes must. know that what I say is true; and I hope to motivate those people to acknowledge. the reality of the harassment which has followed me for ten. years. It takes much time to transmit these articles, but as OCG MD Simpson-Wells said to me in. 1992, you have to be a good. commun…

I am. not surprised that the Security Service Tribunal found "no determination in your favour". After formatting my pc yesterday, the icons lined up along the left side of my screen. I right-click on my desktop and "Arrange Icons by" opened. I then checked Arrange icons by "Auto Arrange" but they remain lined up along the left side of my screen. When I move an icon, it immeditely goes to the left side of the screen. I tried Arrange Icons According to Grid to see if it would break the cycle, but it didn't. Also, in the Arrange Icons By, the top half of choices lists Names, Size, Type, Modified. The default, "Type" was checked. I can uncheck it without choosing anohter one. -- Denise ~ If you don't know where you came from, you won't k…

Dell Precision Windows xp64 SCSI 2nd hard drive problems.
by Guest David Manvell- 9 replies

I have a Precision 670 Dell computer that is running Windows XP 64. The Dell has a Seagate ST3146854LW 136GB SCSI drive in it. The system has been running fine although I am running out of disk space and will also be moving over to Windows Vista x64 Ultimate shortly. I purchased a new (From Seagate) ST3300655LW 300GB SCSI hard drive and added it to my system. The 136GB original drive is SCSI ID 0 and the new 300GB drive is SCSI ID 1. The new drive is the exact same line of drive as my original one, it's just a larger version. My system boots up fine and Disk Management sees the new drive. I created a single partition the same size as the original drive…
