  1. Evidently it works on once in a while or we wouldn't keep seeing them. It makes me think that along with histroy, math and science, they ought to be teachng in the schools practical things such as how to avoid scams and stay safe on the Interent, along with how to manage finances, how to balance a checkbook, and stuff like that. ---pete---
  2. CTRL+ works only for the current tab that is open in the browser. It would be a major annoyance to have to repeat that adjustment for each new tab. The way I and many others probably use the forum is to list all new posts in the index and then open each one they want to read a new tab. So doing it that way, it would be quite annoying to have to adjust the font size in each tab. ---pete---
  3. I'd like to submit an article I wrote on the topic of guidelines for effectively using any Forum. It includes tips for posting in order to get good responses and many suggestions that would contribute to a nice environment on any forum. This article is based upon my many years experience using BBSes of the olden days, Usenet Newsgroups, and the more modern Forums of today. TIPS FOR USING ANY BBS, FORUM or NEWSGROUP http://www.htworkshop.com/freeinfo_forum_tips.htm PS: This is a long detailed article but it's formated in such a manner that anyone can reference a particular section without having to read the entire article. See the example below. Example.. GUIDELINES FOR COMPOSING & POSTING YOUR MESSAGE http://www.htworkshop.com/freeinfo_forum_tips.htm#4 Notice the #4 on the end of the link above. The #4 is the trick to referencing that particular section. ---pete---

  5. Hi all, I'm new here and a member of many other forums. First thing I'm noticing is that the font of the posts is a bit small in comparison to what I'm used to. I think it would help to increase the font one or two sizes in order to make reading the posts easier on the eyes. I believe it would also increase reading comprehension if the reader is less fatigued. Especially on long posts. I suggest you take a look at a few other popular forums and see what font size they use. FYI: I'm working with a 19 inch CRT monitor and 1024 x 768 resolution. ---pete---
