    thanks guys .looked in power settings and i had disabled external moniter(stupid me)now working. thanks again for all your help ps wonderful site

    i have acer 5720 laptop.i used to connect laptop to the tv and it would work fine.but now when i connect ,laptop fine but my tv comes up going to sleep then goes into sleep mode,laptop is still working normally.have tried daughters laptop with the same connections and everything is fine.any advice would be appreciated
