  1. Hello and welcome. Make yourself at home.
  2. Could have been a brief power outage.
  3. Where did you buy it? Some sellers sell bogus SD cards. Advertise them at 32 gig or higher when they are actually 128M. What you describe is exactly how they act when you try to format them. You should return it to the seller for a refund and buy from someplace else.
  4. Upgrade is now fully complete. The styles we had used were not compatible so they were removed. In their place there is a fresh new style available in a light and dark version. You can switch to the new styles by using the style selector at the bottom of the page.
  5. Upgrade complete. Working on adding the new style.
  6. I will be upgrading the site to the newest version of xenForo. During this time the site will be down at intermittent times. Downtime should be minimal. The style we use will not be compatible so I will be adding a new style as part of the upgrade. When I start the upgrade process I will shutoff the old style. Thanks for your patience.
  7. I got hit by this. I still don't have all the addons I used working.
  8. Hello and welcome.
  9. Howdy and welcome. I'm a ham also, callsign N9KN. Active on 15 and 20 meter CW.
  10. A wise man once said the only stupid question is the one not asked. We are here to help you with whatever the problem may be. Sorry for your loss.
  11. Yes I removed the contribution link when I removed the ads.
  12. Thanks Bob. Same to you.
  13. I will be moving the site to a new server this week. There will be some downtime, but, it should be minimal. I keep everyone up to date on the progress.
  14. There was a power outage where the servers are located in Chicago due to some severe weather. All sites were offline since yesterday at 1700CST. Power has been restored and the this site is online and operational. The other sites are still offline. One of the servers won't boot up. I am checking into it and will let everyone know when it is operational.
  15. Yes. Electricity from lightning strikes can be unpredictable. It could have traveled right through the router without causing damage although that is a rarity.
  16. The surge could have come through the network cable. Your internet service starts outside your house and it could have been the source of the problem. I had a DSL modem get knocked out during a thunderstorm. It very easily could have traveled farther and knocked out the network card.
  17. Everything I found says you should uninstall and remove the folder the files from the install directory and install clean again. Seems to be a glitch with the installer.
  18. Site upgraded to new version. This upgrade had a bunch of template changes so if you run into any problems let me know.
  19. It's possible they installed a bad router. You can connect directly to the fiber box with a laptop to test the connection. If it works as expected then they should change out the router.
  20. Glad you got it working. Thanks for letting us know.
  21. Network routers, modems and such are susceptible to power surges. It is possible that all or some of the ports on the router were damaged. I have seen it happen. Wireless works fine, but, all the ports dead. Can you connect directly to the modem? If you can and if you get a good connection then you'll know that the router ports are bad. If you don't get a connection then the problem is in the computer. Judging by a problem with the monitor I would bet the problem is the computer.
  22. xenForo released a new version that fixes a security vulnerability in the software. I have upgraded the site to that version. If you find any problems let me know.
  23. Howdy and welcome to the community.
