  7. Can you post the error message you get on that page? Can you try to run this command and let me know if it works. Open a command prompt and copy and paste the command below. Hit enter to execute. Then reboot and try Windows Update again. %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL

  11. Are you using t5he Windows Update link from Start menu? Are you sure you are going to the Windows update site? When you get the error next time you try to update copy and paste the URL from the address bar in this thread. There are a number of things that could be wrong. Anything from XP being deactivated on your computer to you having been infected with a virus.
