    Hello, just some additional information for you guys. I have a sony laptop with an original battery. I have got the same problem. With dave's solution I did solve the problem. thank you dave by the way. However, I wanted to let you know that this problem seems to manifest with Windows Vista and Windows 7 (I have windows 7 installed in my sony). conclusion, this problem does not necessary have to do with a non sony compatible product! cheers domenico
