Guest sia Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 RE: inaccessible boot device Found the provedure but when I type in at C:\> "CHKDSK /F" without quotes, it give a message "The parameter is not valid" Then I tries 'CHKDSK /R', it tend starts checking the volume. I am quite sure that I did not misread the original message and asked to do 'chkdsk /f' What is the difference between /f and /r ? Anyone can enlighten this, thanks "sia" wrote: > I have this blue screen with the above message and one of the corrective > action is to do 'chkdsk /f' How do I do this?
