Remove Parallell Port?

Is there anything to be gained by removing the parallel port in the BIOS? I have nothing attached to the parallel port of my Win XP SP 3 computer, and was just wondering.

More room for IRQs? I noticed even logs tracks this missing parallel as

a problem.
