Indezinc Service - Catalog Connection

I am able to connect to a local catalog by using the following asp code:

 

catalogtosearch="myindex"

 

Ho do I connect to a catalog running on a remote server?

 

I have tried catalogtosearch="\\remote ip or server name \myindex" to no

avail.
