Guest Shahab Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 I've recently installed win XP 64-bit , and I've noticed that one cannot edit a mp3 file information in it , (when u right click on the file and click on properties)there isn't stuff like artist, composer , lyrics , etc. U can just find track number , title and comments , and when I try to edit those , I recieve this error : a disk error occured during a write operation And also when u put view mode to details in a music folders , informations r not shown as if there isn't any. If u search a bit on the net u'll find that everyone gots the same problem with 64-bit xp. It's very annoying , I wonder if there is any solutions for it. thx ;)
Guest Carlos Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 RE: Problem with editing music information Shahab, I am trying to reproduce your issue in Windows XP 32-bit. When you say you only see the Title and Comments, isn't there an Advanced Options button that you can click on? That should take you to a view will all the details you are missing. If you can't save your changes, there are a couple of things that might be going on. 1.- Your mp3 file is read-only 2.- Your folder where the mp3 files reside is read-only 3.- You don't have writing rights in the file/folder/partition Carlos "Shahab" wrote: > I've recently installed win XP 64-bit , and I've noticed that one cannot > edit a mp3 file information in it , (when u right click on the file and click > on properties)there isn't stuff like artist, composer , lyrics , etc. > U can just find track number , title and comments , and when I try to edit > those , I recieve this error : > a disk error occured during a write operation > And also when u put view mode to details in a music folders , informations r > not shown as if there isn't any. > If u search a bit on the net u'll find that everyone gots the same problem > with 64-bit xp. > It's very annoying , I wonder if there is any solutions for it. > thx ;)
