Guest RAH Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 There are a number of programs listed in the Add or Remove Programs menu in Control Panel that don't have a Change or Remove button. Probably more than half of the listed programs are missing the button(s). These are all active programs, and many do not have a remove option in the Start/All Programs either. One that I want to remove right now is the Apple Safari browser for Windows. I have Googled for help with this, and the only thing I have seen is to uninstall it in Add or Remove Programs, which is exactly what I can't do. How can I delete these programs and/or get the Remove button back in Add or Remove Programs? Using Windows XP Pro SP3.

Guest RAH Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Re: Change/Remove Buttons Not Available in Add/Remove Programs Thanks. I tried to do that, but there are only a handful of programs and a few KB's listed. I then did a search on the string, "NoRemove" and came up with a lot of programs, but nowhere near what I have installed. Almost all of them were set to NoRemove 1. There is nothing about Apple or Safari in the uninstall folder. I did a search for "Safari", but only found a few entries such as program name, etc. Apple obviously doesn't want you to remove it once you have it installed.
