Free unlimited installation and compatibility support is available for

Windows XP, but only for Service Pack 3 (SP3), until 14 Apr-09. Chat and

e-mail support is available only in the United States and Canada. Go to

http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=1173 | select Windows XP

| select Windows XP Service Pack 3

Hi Peter,

System restore does help for this issue in many cases. In the meantime,

take a look here: http://www.winxptutor.com/arpbuttons.htm

Don't give up yet.

This could be due to a messed up group policy.

If you're running the pro version of XP, Run gpedit.msc

Expand User config/Admin templ/Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs

In the right pane, the second setting from top is "Hide Change or Remove

Programs page"

Double-click to access Properties and "dot" Disable.

Apply and OK
