Guest Blithe Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 W2K Help says - to move the taskbar: Click an empty area on the taskbar, and then drag the taskbar to a different location on the desktop. However - that never works for me. I prefer it at the bottom of the desktop but it jumps on occasion to the right side where I cannot drag it back. How do I get it back and lock it? (In the past, it jumps back to the bottom at random. Only once or twice I can recall that it will drag back but maybe that occurs about one out of 100 frustrating attempts - so I just live with it) Thanks - Blithe
Guest Bob I Posted September 18, 2008 Posted September 18, 2008 Re: Taskbar - how to move? you need to select an area that is "really" empty, and not part of a "toolbar". Guest Blithe Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Re: Taskbar - how to move? Thanks Bob I - I'll try next time because I fear to try anything now. Before I got your suggestion, it once again randomly returned to the desktop bottom. Guest Bob I Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Re: Taskbar - how to move? If you "grab" close to the Notification area, and drag left and down, it only takes about a half an inch of movement to flip it back and forth.
