Hi,

My domain controller is not running any application. if I click on anti

virus Icon it will displayed an errror msg "Cannot find the file 'C:\Program

Files\Quick Heal\Quick Heal Total Security\SCANNER.EXE' (or one of its

components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all

required libraries are available."

The same kind of error msg is displayed for any application like , IE,

outlook express, backup and many more.

If I type " CMD" in run dialogue box i get the same error but If I type

"command" the dos window is opening , I am able to do some basic operation

from cmnd prompt but not every application is woring from that window.

Also, Active directory and all other administrative services are running

fine users are able to login to domain.

I had applied old backup to domain controller and the problem was solved but

when i applied latest system state the problem comes again.

the problem here is I only have only one sys state backup (the tape drive

which contains sys state backup of last two monts is missing)

so kindly suggest me any of possible solution to bring my domain controller

to healthy state.

Control Panel -> System -> Advanced tab -> Env. Variables button -> System

var. -> Path -> Edit

then copy the Path variable into a text file, then exit everyting and

restore the system to the other configuration.

Compare those two Path variables and see if they differ. If they do then

edit the incorrect one in most recent configuration to match the one that

works in the old one.
