Guest kimiraikkonen Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 Hi, It may not be a problem and Nero or other burning softwares recognizes my real DVD-RW as DVD-RW in W2k, but i see my DVD burner as "CD-ROM" drive in "my computer". There's no recognition problem but in XP DVD burner is recognized as DVD-RW, but in W2k pro+SP4 my DVD burner is shown as "CD-ROM" in "My computer". Is it normal and why? Thank you.

My DVD-RW drive is shown as "Compact Disc" in My Computer FWIW. Same on another machine for both the DVD-RW drive and the DVD-ROM drive. Probably just a generic description. Nice race Sunday by the way :-)
