Guest Charlie Russel - MVP Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Re: print screen button Personally, I use Hypersnap (http://www.hyperionics.com). But then, screen shots are a daily part of my life, and I need the features, simplicity and support of hypersnap. At a quite reasonable price. Works well in 64bit, both vista and XP, I might add. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/blogs/xperts64 "John Barnes" <jbarnes@email.net> wrote in message news:e%23NOzDIxHHA.276@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... > One way to get your screenshot is to paste it into 'paint' save that file > and then attach or copy that picture into the e-mail > > "qqshad0wqq@aol.com" <qqshad0wqq@aol.com@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote > in message news:A7B652AD-BE26-40F4-8466-882B1EDF2115@microsoft.com... >>i have recently installed windows xp 64 bit. i used to be able to hit the >> print screen button and then paste what it saved into an email. now when >> i >> hit print screen and try to paste it in an email the screen shot is 99% >> black >> with nothing of what i tried to screen shot saved. can anyone tell me if >> there is a setting or something i need to change ???? if someone could >> please >> email me at qqshad0wqq@aol.com or post the answer to this problem here i >> would greatly appreciate it ..... mike >

Guest Charlie Russel - MVP Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 Re: print screen button If you do a lot with screen captures, I'd recommend getting a dedicated program for them. I use and highly recommend HyperSnap. Great support, solid feature set, and it works well in 64-bit. http://www.hyperionics.com -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "qqshad0wqq@aol.com" <qqshad0wqq@aol.com@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A7B652AD-BE26-40F4-8466-882B1EDF2115@microsoft.com... >i have recently installed windows xp 64 bit. i used to be able to hit the > print screen button and then paste what it saved into an email. now when i > hit print screen and try to paste it in an email the screen shot is 99% > black > with nothing of what i tried to screen shot saved. can anyone tell me if > there is a setting or something i need to change ???? if someone could > please > email me at qqshad0wqq@aol.com or post the answer to this problem here i > would greatly appreciate it ..... mike

Guest Charlie Russel - MVP Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Re: print screen button No thanks. I've been using HyperSnap for 13 years now (yeah, since Win95 beta), and I'm not likely to switch. It's simply the best out there, IMNSHO. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Roger Gelder" <invalid@invalid.invalid> wrote in message news:OOgD78PxHHA.3400@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > You might also wish to consider Gadwin Printscreen, working well in > 64-bit. > roj > > "Charlie Russel - MVP" <charlie@mvKILLALLSPAMMERSps.org> wrote in message > news:0F1F0931-C55A-402C-A9D9-F20BBE79B201@microsoft.com... >> If you do a lot with screen captures, I'd recommend getting a dedicated >> program for them.
