Guest Carlos Posted July 12, 2007 Posted July 12, 2007 The french guys of http://www.station-drivers.com did it again. They have unofficial (allegedly whql) drivers v168.18 for both Vista and XP x64. http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nvidia%20forceware.htm http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/nvidia/nv_162.18-xp64(www.station-drivers.com).exe http://www.station-drivers.com/telechargement/nvidia/nv_162.18-vista64(www.station-drivers.com).exe Downloading them right now. Use it at your own risk (or just don't use it). Carlos

Guest jabloomf1230 Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Re: Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql Carlos, They also have 162.22 for Vista x86 and Vista x64, which is slightly newer. Guru3d has 163.11 for Vista x86 and Vista x64, but these drivers only work with the NVidia 8xxx series cards. Guest Dominic Payer Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Re: Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql 162.18 for XP/2000 x86 and 162.22 for Vista x86 and x64 are official nVidia beta drivers. Guest Carlos Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Re: Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql Guys: Let me stress this. These are NOT beta. They are whql. Once you extract the exe file you will be able to see the "catalog" file (*cat.) which is the "mark" of being whql. They have the same numbering of other betas around there but they are not beta. Then again, use at your own risk. I have not still decided what I am going to do with them. Guest Kue2 Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Re: Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql Well so much for that test(162.22).I still get the error (nvlddmkm.sys error)system has recovered. Back to the original driver that does not produce that error. Nvidia Driver version 7.15.10 9746 dated 22/08/2006. Guest Carlos Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 Re: Highly unofficial NVidia 168.18 whql Hi: Finally downloaded and successfully installed in Vista x64 the 162.18's from the source mentioned at the top of my post. I can confirm (and so does Vista) that the drivers are not beta. They are digitally signed. Date is June 29th, and version is 7.15.11.6218 No problems so far.
