Click on Start | Run and enter gpedit.msc Look for: User Configuration/Administrative Templates/System/Logon/Logoff and set Disable Task Manager to "Not Configured". Sometimes the Task Manager or Registry tools are disabled by virus, spyware or other malware. Do an up to date scan on your machine. John
