Guest Bob Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Windows 2000 I have successfully installed a new printer & set it as the default printer. It works fine, no problems. Whenever I reboot the computer the "found new hardware... please wait" box comes up (listing my printer model), I must wait almost 5 minutes (the computer is tied up while Windows searches for drivers) then the dialog box asking new to insert the CD with the drivers comes up, I hit the cancel button at that point and everything works fine. What's up? How can I stop this from happening? Thanks in advance... Bob

If that not work, look into ControlPanel/System to see if there is a conflict, or perhaps it is installed twice, or anything else that don't look right. -- Those who try to hide behind Godwin are the real net-nazis.
