Guest penguin Posted July 26, 2007 Posted July 26, 2007 hello,,, i have been loaned a win2000 machine, (this one) and thought i would look around as i havent had much to do with 2000.(my other machine is sick, and will take a while to fix... $$$$$$$$$'s) i wanted to change some icons for a few utilities i down- loaded, and for other things like 'Word, XL' etc. i did a search using this:: ' *.ico ' but found nothing relating to icons. win98 has 'moreicons' and 'shellicons' and similar, but i cant find the file(s) in 2000 where i can have lots of icons to choose from. i found the win2000 Help utility to be useless, there is hardly anything there no matter what. also, a bit off topic, this machine is using O/E5 and i cant find the 'option' to stop my mail being automatically opened......... my antivirus pinged two nasties today, because they were being automatically opened. thank you for help. pengy
